Apple's Hide My Email feature is a joke.
1. When I send to a HME account, I get a bounce. Apple receives and accepts the email, verifies DMARC/DKIM&SPF, but then when apple's servers forward it, the final server bounces it as spam, and apple pass that back to the original sender. So we can't email people who used the feature.
2. In the bounce email from Apple it reveals ... the "hidden" email address! 👍 way to go, Apple!

Sehr schöne Erinnerung an #HME - er sagt auch was über Globalisierung der Sprache und ich nehme das Wort "Flughafen-Englisch" mit in meinen Wortschatz.
3/3 De afgelopen jaren heb ik bij verschillende gelegenheden — te weinig, bedenk ik nu — wel eens gedichten van HME voorgedragen. Vooral enkele gedichten uit zijn bundel ‘Kiosk: Neue Gedichte’ uit 1995 liggen me na aan het hart. Ik denk dan aan gedichten als “Audiosignal vom 15. Mai 1912”, “Schöner Sonntag”, “Balanceakt”, “A”, of “Altes Medium”, waarvan ik er verschillende bijna van buiten ken.

2/3 In 1997 had ik het geluk HME in Antwerpen te mogen ontmoeten tijdens het internationale poëziefestival ‘Dichters in ’t Elzenveld’. Ik kon toen kort een praatje met hem slaan en enkele boeken laten signeren. Hij was een erg innemende persoonlijkheid.

Ik lees het nu pas, maar het is al afgelopen donderdag gebeurd: mijn lievelingsdichter Hans Magnus Enzensberger is overleden. Op 11 november vierde hij nog zijn 93ste verjaardag. Een mooie leeftijd, maar het stemt me toch een beetje droef.
Enzensberger is een van de belangrijkste Duitse schrijvers en denkers. Hij schreef gedichten, essays en theaterstukken, en bleef tot op hoge leeftijd actief. Zijn werk is ook in het Nederlands vertaald. 1/3
