Assisted the Butte #PrescribedBurn Association with some piles near Berry Creek yesterday. This land was burned in the North Complex, so we helped down some trees, clear brush and burned. Are there folks over here talking about #IndigenousSovereignty #LandBack or #goodfire #culturalfire? I'm an avid listener in those spaces, and I'd love to connect over here.

I've learned a ton from Native activists about how to be a better advocate and adviser in conflict-affected environments.

Today I'm working early 20th century publications on #GoodFire or intentionally setting fire for the maintenance of ecosystems. Settler attitudes toward #RxFire changed a lot over the settlement of IL/WI and pinning down the moment it became western-scientifically confirmed as "good" is fuzzy.

At a minimum, Leopold was 100% team fire by 1942
