"... this John Betancourt fellow who has purchased the rights to write Amber novels, and that he plans on releasing a prequel trilogy set in the Amber universe, and I wanted to know if you, as a friend and fan of Mr. Zelazny, have any thoughts on the matter you'd be willing to share.

Well, I remember Roger talking to me and Steve Brust. We'd just suggested that if he did an anthology of other-people-write-Amber-stories that we'd be up for it (understatement), and he puffed on his pipe, and said -- extremely firmly -- that he didn't want anyone else to write Amber stories but him."

Ah. I had been wondering. Trying to be polite here, but Roger is dead now. Sorry to hear about that ...

If you can shadow-walk from Amber to the Courts of Chaos then you probably already made the movie and we would like to see it too please

This might be a long shot - but anyone from #minnesota on here from back in the days of #wintermute, #ghostwheel, or #MECC? I was on WM only - I came on late in the game. Hoping to find my old crowd.

#occulttalk #ghostwheel Text mode enabled on my tarot shuffling script. Looks cool, but not very practical. At any decent resolution on the cards the font is unreadable for interaction.

#occulttalk #tarot #ghostwheel Made some updates to the script I've been toying with based on @kara 's idea.

It no longer messes with a geo-location API. It assembles a string from user inputted data and the time, makes a--session specific--hash, and uses that to reseed the RNG with every query.

Improved control flow allows for interactive, looping prompts; and will make it easier to implement two upcoming features. Namely, user selected decks and a proper GUI.

My eventual plan is to make it a binary package.
