Stopped at the store yesterday after an exhausting day (caretaking, Dr appt etc) and I popped out the end of an aisle surprising a couple young guys.
One made a surprised sound and then looked at me in my #Flomask, smirked & said "are you sick?"
I stared a hole thru him and very slowly nodded and said "y-eah..."
I was too tired and
taken off guard for "Wanna find out kid? Huh?? Today's not the day. Move along."

I just got a message that there was a possible #measles exposure at the college where I teach. Thank goodness no one can be arsed to #maskup or #wearamask smh.
With only about 15,000 staff and students on campus, we should all be good, right?

Has anyone tried to make their own DIY mask headstrap? Especially for the Flo mask? I want to try making a version of their halo strap but it's a more complex design than a regular strap.

Had the strangest/funniest encounter today.
I was checking myself out at the self-check and I needed the clerks help a few times. I was showing her the price of the item in my phone and she stayed back and was visible uncomfortable...
Like ME wearing my #Flomask had the plague and was putting her at risk...
While every single other person in the store was maskless inhaling #Covid #Flu #RSV & every other virus running rampant right now.
At one point I needed to get another of an item... 1/

I do not want to jinx it but my wife and I travelled all the way to Michigan and back to Germany last week and we avoided getting sick. Last time we had COVID was about a year ago.
We were wearing FFP2 masks almost the entire time around family and in public, and we had our FloMasks on during the trip. We also used our AlgoVir nosespray throughout the day, especially when we had our masks off for a few minutes. There were enough family members that were sick, sniffling and coughing, by the way, and I'm glad we didn't catch anything.

I've worn a Flo Mask for years (since I started wearing glasses full-time). I'm happy with it.
Ran to Costco to pick up a few things. In my #Flomask of course. I passed a woman wearing a mask who really looked at me then said hi. I said hi back and she said "I really like..."
And I was expecting "...your mask" but instead she said "... that you're wearing a mask"

A brand new Flo mask bottom strap vs one after a year or so of use. Super surprised at just how much it stretched out. (You can get standalone replacements of the straps on their website, if yours is overdue!)
@ShaulaEvans Something i DON’T love - the #FloMask. It’s an interesting idea, but not very well implemented. The silicone is too thin when compared to a 3M silicone respirator, it’s also designed for flatter / fatter faces, so even if your nose is within the correct sizing, you can get gaps between the bridge of your nose and cheek bones. I can also fit a pinkie finger in the hollow between cheek bone and jaw where the mask doesn’t contact. The on-top-of-chin bottom is also problematic.
