Intended tune "Matchmaker, matchmaker" but came out more like
"Witnesses' Waltz" (youtu.be/WiCA-hJsRsk), so whatever. "Chim
Chiminy" from Mary Poppins also sort of works.
Clipmaker, clipmaker, make me some clips:
Bend wires with pliers, and cut them with snips,
Bring them with care to the Stationers' Shoppe,
And sell them to folks for a quarter a pop.
Save up your quarters to buy a machine,
And crank out more clips, so you're raking the green.
Extruders, computers, and marketing schemes:
Your firm is the envy of tech tycoons' dreams.
Your paper clip empire gathers in speed,
Til Earth's people have way more clips than they need;
You've nothing against them, you think they're all swell,
But they're made of matter, and clips are as well.
So now's your machinery's time to take flight:
First high in the air, and then faster than light.
The galaxies fill with autonomous ships,
Their stars and their planets, converted to clips.
And when in the Cosmos, no matter remains,
But for clips, and the stuff of your body and brains,
Dismantle yourself into clips til you're done,
In a new Universe, you can start the next run!
