The theme was "jazz", so I went for a jazz-funk oriented track, infused with some "typically demoscenish" instruments, if I may say so. 😄

The Python program xmtolsp converts XM modules of FastTracker 2 into LSP format. The eponymous LightSpeed player converts the music modules into a less computationally intensive low-level format that supplies the Amiga audio hardware with ready-made frame-by-frame instructions.

I remember playing around with #FastTracker2 a lot as a kid and writing around a hundred songs with it and saving them all on 3.5" floppy disks.

Somehow I managed to lose the files on the hard drive and was never able to find the backup disks again.

Today I try to think of it like those sand mandalas that are carefully crafted, only to be destroyed once they're finished.

It's enough that they existed.
