GA: Going In Blind
fysm.world/ga-going-in-blind/

I don’t often walk into a show without knowing the bands, but this time, I hadn’t heard of any of them before getting the invite. Luckily, I got to experience them live, and honestly, Norway feels like it might have a second home here in Denver.

When my mom asks, “Don’t we have metal at home?” The answer is, “No, Mom, we don’t. Get off my back!” Especially not with bands like […]

Fun fact: Do you ever wonder why there's a delay of a few minutes between my posts?

It's because I'm searching for YouTube links to my entries, and once I've started a video, I'll stay until it ends.

Anyway, as to this band, I don't know if they even have a singer. I think all songs on the album that aren't instrumental have a guest singer.

#Earthside, with #DanielTompkins of #Tesseract and #GennadyTkachenkoPapizh - Let The Truth Speak

Tested for you*:

How do some of my favourite albums compare between normal listening and HQ listening with the good equipment:

- #TheAnchoret - It All Began With Loneliness: I do love this album, but with the Cayin DAP and Ultimate Ears earpieces there's nothing new in there. In that respect, disappointing.
- #Avkrvst - The Approbation: Really really extra very good, lots of previously unnoticed nuances, and a nice whoomp.
- #Earthside - Let The Truth Speak: Somewhere in between.

I have opinions on this list:

There are some I don't know, so no comment on those.

BUT #Riverside - Out Of Myself: sure, one of the best debuts, but they so aren't Metal! That album is #ProgressiveRock through and through.

Sort of the same goes for #Earthside - A Dream In Static. Not Metal. Also very good, but one of the greatest debuts? Nah.

Totally agree though on the awesomeness that is #TheAnchoret - It All Began With Loneliness

Oh neat, #Earthside just posted the original image that inspired their album cover art for Let The Truth Speak!

Album cover art by: Travis Smith

Red haired woman throwing her head back, with her hair flowing upwards. She's wearing a dark / black dress with white dots. Her upper body is surrounded by conifer tree branches, the lower fourth of the image shows an unfocused yellow'ish background.Cover of the Earthside album Let The Truth Speak. Red haired woman in very similar pose, but the image looks more painted than photographed. The surrounding background has more green than yellow and conveys more of a submarine vibe.
