The world keeps getting darker, and it gets harder to be positive.

There was a TTRPG from the 90s by Dream Pod 9 called Tribe 8; a post-apocalyptic game set in Montreal. It has a present time where humanity fell to such a degree, and in a moment of feeling nothing, let our own demons into existence and society collapsed.

I often think of that setting, and wonder if that's where we are headed.
