A SCOTS nudist has received “vile” backlash after launching an online group for punters interested in skinny dipping and naturism.
The Facebook page was set up with an aim to unite people around Moray for nude beach days and naturist walks.
Over 150 people have joined the Moray Naturists & Skinny Dippers private group on the social media platform.
The founder of the page, who is also a member of British Naturism, told the Forres Gazette: “Unfortunately there’s still a Victorian mindset amongst some people, plus others who have the ‘Carry On’ mindset.
“There were some vile posts on social media when we first publicised our existence.
“We would like to arrange visits to some of the area’s fantastic country houses with gardens.
“We hope they will accommodate us on ‘clothing optional days’ when naturists can enjoy the surroundings without denying the general public access.
“This would be advertised and notified at the venues so would-be attendees can decide if they still want to visit while naked people might be seen.”
However, the page got some backlash from locals who were not happy at the idea...

The International Naturist Federation (INF-FNI), working in close cooperation with the German Naturist Federation (DFK), has written to Therme Erding in Munich following reports that the world-famous spa and sauna complex is substantially reducing its textile-free (naturist) capacity in favour of expanded clothed areas.
In its letter, INF-FNI expressed concern that such changes represent a retreat from Germany’s long-standing tradition of Freikörperkultur (FKK), which has been an accepted and valued part of social life for decades. The Federation highlighted recent evidence from European surveys showing growing interest in naturism, particularly among younger adults, and underlined the cultural, social and wellbeing benefits of non-sexual social nudity.
Therme Erding has responded by emphasising its commitment to diversity, noting its plans to build new saunas within the nudist area and stating that it seeks to accommodate both clothed and unclothed guests. This 10-minute hike through abandoned hurricane ruins leads to St. Martin’s clearest turquoise cove, where only 20-50 visitors discover Happy Bay’s crystal waters each day.
The trail rewards those willing to leave the crowds behind. Hurricane Irma’s 177mph winds left roofless concrete shells scattered across the hillside in 2017, now home to curious iguanas basking in the Caribbean sun.
The trail through time

Originally opened in 1928, Yrjönkatu is a showpiece of 1920s classicism, designed by architect Väinö Vähäkallio. The refurbishment has carefully restored the building’s historic character while quietly updating its facilities for modern-day swimmers.
But Yrjönkatu has always been about more than architecture. The hall is internationally known for its long-standing tradition of nude swimming – yes, nude – though never mixed. Women and men swim on separate days, a system that remains firmly in place. Women have access on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while men swim on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
That said, swimwear is now optional. The strict all-nude policy was relaxed back in 2001, making the experience a little less intimidating for first-timers...

He writes about everyday naturist experiences, from swimming and bowling to vacation. Nick presents himself as an ordinary person and advocates that naturism is not about showing off or being provocative, but simply a way of life.
Q. Naturism is a lifestyle, but many people misunderstand it. What is your take on what naturism really means in its own right?
Most people do not understand the naturist lifestyle; they think it is all about sex and perversion, but they could not be further from the truth. Naturists like me live the way we do as we prefer not to wear clothing, as it is restrictive and can hide who we really are.
When we are out in public, we do not go out to be seen or stared at; in fact, if we are going hiking, as I often do, we do it mid-week and in the middle of nowhere. We enjoy the freedom to be as nature intended, which is why nude hiking is so great.
We do not engage in any form of sexual activity in groups or meet for sexual exchanges. Naturism is completely nonsexual. We do not body shame each other and don’t discriminate.
For me, the lifestyle of a naturist is to be free as we are born and to be around like-minded people who accept me for who I am.

**Nick, The Flying Naturist**

Nick is better known as The Flying Naturist. He is a lifestyle blogger and content creator who shares what it is like to live a clothing optional life on his website, FlyingNaturist.com. He writes about everyday naturist experiences, from swimming and bowling to vacation. Nick presents himself as an ordinary person and advocates that naturism is not about showing off or being provocative, but simply a way of life.
Q. Naturism is a lifestyle, but many people misunderstand it. What is your take on what naturism really means in its own right?
Most people do not understand the naturist lifestyle; they think it is all about sex and perversion, but they could not be further from the truth. Naturists like me live the way we do as we prefer not to wear clothing, as it is restrictive and can hide who we really are.
When we are out in public, we do not go out to be seen or stared at; in fact, if we are going hiking, as I often do, we do it mid-week and in the middle of nowhere. We enjoy the freedom to be as nature intended, which is why nude hiking is so great.
We do not engage in any form of sexual activity in groups or meet for sexual exchanges. Naturism is completely nonsexual. We do not body shame each other and don’t discriminate.
For me, the lifestyle of a naturist is to be free as we are born and to be around like-minded people who accept me for who I am.

My fellow sauna-goers and I drip with sweat while a semi-nude man prances around the room with arms extended, twirling a white towel like a matador rousing a bull. The aromas of patchouli and grapefruit tangle in the cloth, and as oil-infused ice sizzles on the scorching rocks in the centre of the sauna, the exposed performer flicks and spins his towel, fanning hot steam towards our faces. The earliest known organised baths emerged in Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley (modern-day Iraq and Pakistan) around 3300 BCE, which historians believe served both cleansing and social purposes.
Traditions in Egypt, Greece, Rome, Persia and India followed suit, incorporating their version of hot and cold plunges, steam rooms and herbal remedies. Societies across Europe, Asia and the Americas, too, developed their own methods of sweating it out.
