I'm thinking there must be a way to get the @EUCommission to understand that the rescue Europe has from US tech serfdom relies on the very same people who are telling them to stop pushing Chat Control.

The overlap is pretty much 100%.

My prediction would be that the EU will do literally nothing and use that they could do something as a bargaining chip to make them introduce mandatory age verification and content scanning.

Like, you remember how the debate around the #EU #Chatcontrol ended with a more permanent "voluntary" message scanning?

This is their leverage.

Después de estos días leyendo y reflexionando sobre la prohibición de las #redessociales, voy a ordenar un poco las ideas por aquí.

En primer lugar, me sorprende que no nos demos cuenta de que una vez más seremos PSoed. ¿Nos suena eso de recibir una medida, notar en primer lugar un revulsivo, y darnos cuenta de que en global salíamos perdiendo? (Ejem... Beneficios para los caseros)

En segundo lugar, parece que está idea va alineada con una estrategia de europa (eIDas2) para identificar las transacciones que podamos ir haciendo por la red en europa, sobre el papel esto se puede articular aparentemente mediante la cartera digital beta. Que técnicamente ofrecerá el 100% de fiabilidad a la hora de proteger nuestra identidad hacia las plataformas.

Bien, me gustaría destacar algunos puntos:

Pensemos en la magnitud del hecho de aceptar que todos nuestros accesos a estas redes sean validados con nuestra identidad. ¿Qué nos parece que se haga esto en un país que está viendo un resurgimiento fascista?¿Qué nos parece que eso ocurra en un continente que está igual?¿Y si además parece un periodo previo a una guerra?

Damos por hecho que ahora "los buenos" van a "proteger a los niños" pero ¿Y cuando gobiernen los no tan buenos?¿Y cuando gobiernen los que consideran un delito protestar por #palestina?¿Y cuando gobiernen los que consideran que abogan por ilegalizar partidos progresistas/regionalistas?

Igual pensamos que no van a ser capaces, con un par de llamadas, de hacer los cambios correctos para rastrearlo todo (ejem... #chatcontrol )

@flexi Es war ein Sieg. Denn das mit dem Client-Side-Scanning war ernst gemeint. #chatcontrol

Aber wir müssen dran bleiben: Die freiwillige Chatkontrolle muss auch gestoppt werden. Und danach schauen wir mal, was aus der Chatkontrolle 2.0 wird, die Alterskontrollen und Zensur vorsieht.

Es gibt leider noch viel zu tun!
