In a new study with more than 130,000 participants it has been found that the long-term intake of (ideally daily 2 to 3 cups of) caffeinated coffee leads to a lower risk of dementia and better cognitive performance. However, I've reverted to loose leaf tea to enjoy the tea-making, maximise flavour, and minimise bitterness. This article discussing caffeine release is interesting. That finely-ground teas, typical of teabags, dump the full load caffeine almost immediately, more so the hotter the water.
