How can you maximise feedback, streamline pipelines and minimise disruption caused by bugs etc?

I really enjoyed chatting to Bryan Jones about trunk-based development and many other things on his Quality Blether podcast! Listen to this episode and relive the vibe.

How do you teach techniques such as incremental refactoring and test driven development (TDD)?

Back in January I was interviewed by @sasworkshops for the Labview Experiment podcast, and we had a great chat about Samman Technical coaching, how to make good software techniques stick and how to teach software developers.

What is continuous integration and why does it make a difference?

Last year at @devoxx UK , I spoke to @baruch Sadogursky from about Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI) on the back of my talk about Trunk

Based Development. IT was an enjoyable interview and you can watch it back here: youtube.com/watch?v=l7vpkCBad2U

This is my recording of Cry me a River. I’ve been singing this song since I was a teenager, inspired by my dad’s vinyl 7” by Julie London, but during this weekend Sophie and Tom encouraged me to explore and expand and break some habits. And I love the result!

Here’s a link to the recording on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=hu-9y1ja4Ms

Would it be possible to transfer the test-driven development paradigm over to writing fiction? Test-driven novel writing? I think so!

Here’s my pecha kucha talk on the topic from @Oop Munich: youtu.be/s9rPI1lPWfc

I have a tendency to get obsessed with little coding projects, I particularly enjoy making little games… and in this case, many years ago, I created an animation to visualise how the cards in the deck formed fascinating patterns as each game progressed.
You can watch a demo of the game and its animation here (from 11:21): youtu.be/pbechQgcpqQ?si=b3dWLM

How should teams be organised for maximum effectiveness? How big should they be, where should the boundaries lie and how independent should they be? In this Making Tech Better podcast episode, I spoke to Matthew Skelton (co-author of the hugely popular Team Topologies book) about how to get the best from your teams.

People from under-represented genders and ethnic backgrounds often face extra barriers in terms of acceptance and personal insecurities, but there are many out there eager to offer them help.

I interviewed Charlene Hunter from Coding Black Females about all this and much more: youtu.be/4mbbmaEB3ag?si=PsD7TR
