I find myself seriously considering eReading for the first time so I can continue reading the Horus Heresy and rereading Gaunt's Ghosts (and let's be honest there will be more). Can anyone recommend any devices?

I've been reading "Legends of the Dark Millennium: Astra Militarum" and now "Cadia Stands" and enjoying the stories. Especially Creed. The "down-and-dirty humanity and practicality" GrimDark while everyone around them is trying to be "correctly bureaucratic" GrimDark is great.

The Imperial Guard novels are so much better overall than the Space Marine novels. And I don't think it's just the authors.

(The Warhammer novels are better still, though)

I'm currently reading the "Sons of the Emperor" anthology, because some of the Primarch novels were quite interesting.

So far it seems like Vulkan is a decent person, Perturabo is a complete dick, and Khârn is far more coherent than I expected!

Finished reading the new novel "Fulgrim - the perfect son" and .. whew ... NOT a pleasant experience. I do NOT recommend it to any Emperor's Children fans.

The Codex reads way more sensual and cool than this.

Finished "Path of the Dark Eldar", and quite enjoyed it. They're not just impractical spiky bits and scantily clad women! More interesting than I remember them being when they first came out for 3rd Ed.

And it's a good counterpoint to the Path of the Eldar series.

So I've finished "The End and the Death Vol II" and overall enjoyed it.
But then, it also a line: while not necessarily THE dumbest line in a Warhammer book, is pretty far up there! (I'll spoiler the line in a reply to this post).
