Wintery sunny day, weak blue sky background. Looking through a new-build distillery, designed with a cylindrical, glass-topped lighthouse-like distilling room to show the copper still to passers-by. Triangular glass panes are set in black metal framing set at an angle to the mortar pointed quarried stonework base. Three panes reflect the low winter sun which also lights up the bright copper still. The reflecting triangle qindows are like delta-wing kites flying in formation, straight upwards into the sky

This is Cula Bay on the island of Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides. We were lucky enough to stay less than a mile from here for 3 days. It was the first Hebridean beach we saw and we went here several times.

My parents met on #Benbecula which obviously makes the Outer Hebrides the best of the islands ( though the one time I was there my tent got levelled in a storm).
