Continuing the stage theme today!
On the right is the first brick-built Roman Amphitheatre which dates back to about 80 C.E and on the left is part of the old Coin shop (upholstery, homeware etc.) - All housed in the same building!
It had been abandoned/in renovation for over 20 years but just recently enough they have started giving tours again. ✨

"È molto grave e preoccupante che il Governo intenda trasferire a Roma l'Agenzia Italia Meteo, oggi al Tecnopolo di #Bologna per cui la Regione aveva a messo a disposizione gli spazi del Dama gratuitamente e dove, a breve, arriverà anche l'Università Onu su big data e cambiamento climatico.

Non si capisce davvero il senso di sradicare l'Agenzia dal sistema del Tecnopolo, all'interno del quale aveva anche già investito in infrastrutture di supercalcolo, dedicate alla modellistica meteorologica italiana.

Anche a non voler pensare male, Bologna e l'Emilia-Romagna sono sempre nel mirino del Governo, sia che si parli di sicurezza che di grandi opere, sia che c'entri la scuola che, adesso, il cambiamento climatico. I nostri parlamentari bolognesi, Andrea De Maria e Virginio Merola, presenteranno a breve un'interrogazione per chiedere conto al Governo di questa decisione, su cui speriamo e chiediamo che torni indietro.

Questo trasferimento rappresenta un arretramento inutile e rischioso e un'esclusione dei Territori in un momento in cui il Paese è colpito da eventi meteorologici estremi sempre più frequenti e devastanti e le Regioni sono in prima linea nell'affrontarli. In più, si rischia di perdere personale specializzato e sarebbe un grave danno per il futuro del Dama-Tecnopolo. Il #cambiamentoclimatico impone azioni sempre più performanti e immediate, è preoccupante che il Governo voglia, invece, smantellare un ecosistema scientifico e tecnologico, quello del Dama-Tecnopolo, già rodato e in azione."
