Winglet Wednesday 18th February 2026.

EI-DLI, Boeing 737-8AS, on the ramp outside Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport, as I was on my way to Dublin for the day.
A decent DSLR camera is great, but sometimes, all you need is a phone with a halfway competent camera module.
My first time on O'Leary's Taxi's, but not my last - not least because I had to get home again!

Photo of the Day 12th February 2026.

EI-EPA, Boeing 737-8AS, RyanAir, parked on one of the Terminal 3 remote stands at Manchester Airport, 6th February 2023.
This is about as close as you can get to any of the planes here without being airside - there is a fence separating these stands from the road, but the gaps are too small to use a DSLR, so the only way to get shots from here is on a mobile phone!
And I didn't have to zoom in, or crop this all that much - yeah, that's how close these things are!
