No confidence at all that AHPRA would have been any sort if obstacle to these apparent very serious assaults of patients.

The unreasonable, long term, and still ongoing, malfunctioning of NDIS public servants adds significant stress to the lives of National Disability Insurance Scheme recipients.
A lot of these people are already under a lot of stress.
That the government is adding more and more is just smh vile. And this is abusive.

Quick reminder that the corruption of the #AustralianPublicService went way past #RoboDebt and the Commissioners who didn't stand in its way.
Staff of the Aged Care Complaints Commissioner (fin in 2018) were complicit in the AU #AgeCareIndustry abusing and neglecting vunerable and frail elderly Australians for many years.
The public servant on the phone was explicit, when I phoned, that no action would be taken against any aged care workers if I proceeded with my complaint.

I don't know, maybe #RoboDebt, years of #AgeCareQualityAndSafetyCommission failures, the on-going deaths linked to the (perhaps unlawful) cutting off of benefits, the decades of abuse of children in government care, a public service in which PS lawyers find themselves bullied into participation in unlawful acts, a PS which says "Yes sir, how high?" instead of providing info on limits, really is a dangerous thing, something better not emulated?

Yet another instance of the APS running in a nonlawful manner.
#RoboDebt, the next group of "benefits stopped unlawfully" victims, this failure to follow the law, the years of the Aged Care Quality Commission allowing abuse and neglect to continue - and that's just what come quickly to mind.
It's not fit for purpose.
Putting public servants in an environment where they progress by climbing a corporate ladder is continuing to fail badly.

What changes in the Australian Public Service have been made to help public servants report and get appropriate support if they find they're faced with departmental actions that are, unreasonably, harming people and triggering suicides?
A social worker testified to the Royal Commission that Centrelink compliance officers took a "So sad. Too bad.", approach.
Clearly this was grossly inadequate.

#EthicalBankruptcy was evident many years prior.
Friend meets with #DFAT Australia's Dept of Foreign Affairs and Trade and asks for action against a smaller #Genocide occuring in S.E. Asia.
Public servant asks, "How will us taking action improve trade?".
With there being no prospects of improvements in trade forthcoming the meeting was terminated.
Been building for years.
This is so much more than an individual’s story.
How about we examine a culture in which senior staff know that their job is to not tell their Ministers things they don’t want to hear?
It was the establishment & normalising of this culture that led me to leave the #APS more than 20 years ago. It was so clear to see then, who was on a career path (ie competent people who toed the line) & who was not (including all the #neurodivergent people for whom the violation of ethics involved in obscuring what’s true & putting our name to falsehoods instead was intolerable). Those who couldn’t tolerate the dishonesty, left. If we could afford to.
