One of the things that "Atlas Shrugged" left me with is calling the aesthetics of Art Deco "Taggartian," after Dagny Taggart, the main character of the book. We regularly use it with my wife. Other than that, luckily, the book left me largely unscathed.

What if the guys who made the #AtlasShrugged #movies were trying to pull a "Springtime for Hitler" scam, like in #TheProducers, and succeeded because they didn't hire Lorenzo to play John Galt?
This theory assumes they were film-literate enough to have seen and understood The Producers, and is thus incompatible with the predominant theory that they simply did not understand enough to make a good movie based on #AynRand's already wild and unrealistic scifi fantasy plot.

I feel like we are living the later part of Atlas Shrugged (yes I managed to make it through that mess thanks to audio format and much commuting) except it's the elites who implemented and support 10-289 and all the dumbest shit that destroys everything instead of us numbnut parasites. But they still to retreat to their rich ass utopia while the rest of us get fucked.
When you realize that the real Atlas is the working class and unions, and they're about to shrug.

Hot take: #LordOfTheRings is a harder book to read than #AtlasShrugged. Tolkien takes time to paint a whole world, with scenery and songs to be imagined by the reader. Rand just has characters deliver speeches at each other.
