Yesterday, four new projects graduated from the #WikimediaIncubator:
* #Assamese #Wikiquote
* #Gungbe #Wikiquote
* #Shan #Wikibooks
* #Gorontalo #Wiktionary

The Shan Wikibooks is the first new Wikibooks language since 2017 (and only the third since 2006!).

The Gungbe Wikiquote is the third new Wikimedia project in Gungbe in less than a year, following last year's #Wikipedia and Wiktionary!

Congrats to all the hard-working contributors to these new Wikimedia projects!

Indian languages coin their own version of place names. Sample this -
Guwahati is গুৱাহাটী (guvāhāṭī) in #Assamese while in #Marathi this city is known as गोहत्ती (gohattī), Hindi गुवाहाटी / गौहाटी guvāhāṭī / gauhāṭī is closer to native Assamese.

Not many know that #Hindi #Bengali #Marathi #Nepali #Odia #Assamese #Gujarati word bhāt भात (cooked rice) has come from Sanskrit bhakta (भक्त) = devotee (& also food or a meal). bhakta (भक्त) comes from #Sanskrit root bhaj भज् (to share, divide, distribute, cook).
