Ok, here's a normal post to give you a break from the torment nexus. I got a couple 7 foot glue lam beams for $50 each since they were covered in an obscene amount of varnish and epoxy. They used to be benches, but I cut one up into 20 inch chunks and it's going to be a stand for my anvil :) #blacksmithing #anvil #stoked

After several hours of concentrated work, a lot of repetitive copy/paste and search/replace as well as a bit of semi-successful utilization of AI agents, I migrated our Android application from dependency injection via Hilt to Metro (by @ZacSweers). 580 files were touched in this process 😅

I already appreciate the concise syntax and Anvil-esque aggregation ❤️

The company that I was lucky enough to get my first #anvil from earlier this year, Holland Anvil, has shut down. They said steel prices have been rising for years, but they didn't mention the nail in the coffin was the #tariffs that increased steel by 50%.
