As per someone's rec, I increased my swap from ~16GB I think to the size of my RAM, 32GB since my last update. It's helped a bit, but it obv does not help the fact that my #Linux PC is sooo fucking hungry for memory in the first place lol. Like... look at this shit :)))
Kinda wondering if my previous NVME SSD I replaced cos of low health was partially due to it being absolutely battered by the extreme usage of Swap cos 32GB of RAM is someeeeehow not enough on my rig, with my workflow (eventho the exact same workflow is perfectly enough with 16GB on #macOS).
My solution to 'non-ideal' conditions on Linux has always been 'throw as much money at it as it needs' (e.g. to some, getting overpriced #AMD GPUs), cos the only other alternative is #Apple 's (good but non-replaceable) hardware so nah, and RAM's gotta be one of em, as soon as their prices stabilise again (if that'd even happen in my lifetime).
