Do I understand #fingerprinting correctly?

I created a new #Librewolf profile, then went to https://www.amiunique.org/, and it says I'm "unique among the 2819143 fingerprints in [their] entire dataset." I expected a much different result...

A new LW profile has "Enable ResistFingerprinting" ticked, as well as "Silently block canvas access requests". Yet the test results show "Canvas: 0.00%", meaning I'm unique with just that...? How does that work?

Permet de savoir si sa config ordi/navigateur est suffisamment spécifique pour permettre d'identifier l'utilisateur de façon unique même sans cookies.

L'équipe de recherche explique que l'ironie, c'est que les personnes sensibles à la vie privée sur-personnalisent leur ordi, et donc sont facilement "fingerprintable". Alors que les internautes "lambda", eux, sont trackés par les cookies...

Diese Experimente habe ich vor ein paar Wochen auch gemacht, mit ähnlichen Ergebnissen. Brave habe ich dabei nicht untersucht, weil ich das nicht verwenden will. Übrig blieb bei #CoverYourTracks der Tor-Browser als der einzige, der sich wirksam gegen Fingerprinting wehrt.

Bei #AmIUnique und #BrowserLeaks habe ich den Eindruck, dass da ein Bug ist. Die sagen zwar, dass sie mich auch im Tor-Browser eindeutig identifiziert haben, erkennen mich aber beim nächsten Besuch nicht wieder. Zum Glück!
