"The root of all our problems as a species are hierarchical power structures. Wherever power is held by a narrow group, that group will tend toward corruption and abuse of their power. More than this, hierarchical structures attract the most corrupted. Hierarchy must be destroyed.

I know it's easy to blame it on just one or another of these hierarchical power structures: capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, etc... But they all exhibit the same destructive characteristics and they must all be abolished to have a better world.

Leaders and experts do not necessarily constitute hierarchical power. Differences in capability or focuses are not hierarchy. Hierarchical power is constituted by the ability to make decisions for others and to direct the powers of others contrary to their will."
