Re - Survey and an event.
I have been reading about the Canberra Alliance for Participatory Democracy (CAPaD). There's so much going on around town to engage with politics at all levels. And improving our representation and better outcomes. 💪
In case of interest / action - sharing links to a survey with opportunity to vote on the actions Ken Behrens would like our reps to focus on. Or there's scope to add own ideas.
Also, there's a community event on 8 March to land on a couple of priorities for 2026.

“We moved a vote which will now see the R2 and R3 reinstated out towards Kippax, Spence and Fraser and the R4 and R5 frequencies improved.
We still won't see these changes until around Term 3 this year. That's why we need your help to keep the pressure on Labor and make sure they follow through on the promise they've made today.”
I assume the organisers of the Canberra Writers' Festival are praying to all the festival Gods that ACT Labor and/or ACTPol take offence and crack-down on something in order to provide a similar boost in patronage. 🙏

If you legislate that certain types of discourse are illegal, you can trust that politicians and law enforcement will make the worst possible interpretation of that legislation. Often to further their own objectives.
That's why I tend to be on the anti-censorship and pro-free-speech end of the spectrum.
Great to hear Fiona Carrick MLA on ABC 666 with Ross Solly, discussing the renaturalisation of Yarralumla Creek. The flood damage to the 'drain' in Curtin over the weekend leaves us with the ideal opportunity to look at renaturalisation, in stages, as sections such as this crumble from old age. Look at Sullivan's Creek for an example of what can be achieved, for flood mitigation and all sorts of improved environmental outcomes... let alone aesthetics and public amenity.👏 #ACTpol

A data transmission issue has been rectified and the updated bus network is now available in the MyWay+ app and Journey Planner on the Transport Canberra website.
Transport Canberra can also confirm that data is now available to all third-party journey planners. We are aware that a number of these have now implemented this data, including both Google and NextThere.
Transport Canberra thanks the community for their patience while we worked to rectify the data transmission issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused for passengers on the first day of the updated bus network.
Passengers are always able to refer to the bus timetables available at www.transport.act.gov.au/updated-timetable, to the printed timetables at bus stops, or by calling Transport Canberra for assistance on 13 17 10.
"Our clients should never have been met with the level of resistance and disregard shown by ACT Housing in the context of a program that was, from its inception, deeply flawed," Ms Sharmin said.
