Mostly tired - mostly breaking things

Pretending to be a Sysadmin, GNU/Linux user since 2001, father of 3 current GNU+Linux users, lives in Sweden, Fascinated by strange hardware.

I am not on vacation, but I am at the end of a long time delay. I am

I appear to be at the edge of the solar system.

@angristan

That's it was that one I was looking for.
Sadly, I was a good boy back then and actually patched the iLO - so the machine is not vulnerable

Ok, so I have this HP-server in my garage that I've had for years.
I decided to plug it in, add drives and connect the iLO port.

Ofcourse, I have forgotten the iLO password - and I dont have a monitor that I can use to reset it via the BIOS.

I do remember this vulnerability from a couple of years ago, that where I could get the password (or change it) for the Administrator user with a curl post request.
But I can't find it.

Help

It's great to see #EU open tech initiatives popping up, but somehow it feels like we are just **terrible** at making ourselves visible, esp. compared to US.

Like how is anyone supposed find this (otherwise great) project - named "docs" - using a search engine?

https://github.com/suitenumerique/docs/

Even assuming I find this project, how do I search for anything related to it (e.g. install guide)?

Why is the homepage in French by default, without a clearly visible language switcher (also looking at you, @Framasoft )?

Friendly reminder that Mastodon, et al is federated, which means you almost certainly won't see every reply on a thread.

Let's say you're reading a post from "reasonable.domain". And someone from "cesspool.domain" replies to it. If your instance blocked "cesspool.domain", you won't see that reply.

This effect minimizes the appearance of harm. It can be a blessing, but it also means you won't always see the problems inherent on these platforms.

@daniel

I think it depends on that kind of Desktop Environment you use.
For example, Budgie (until recently) apparently got stuck alot because everything was in one single thread.

@joacim can correct me on that one
