This is a Changeable Hawk-Eagle. I was hoping that that meant that under certain circumstances it could change into a lizard or something, but apparently it just means that there is both a light and dark morph. In any event a fine looking bird.

Potable tap water but no access to taps and you end up having to pay for bottled water, sometimes costing more than beer 🤦🏾

Volendam. Very touristy. But really good food for a touristy place though ;-) Freshly made poffertjes and kibbeling. Interestingly the poffertjes tasted exactly like my grandma’s sweet kuzhipaniyaram ( குழிப்பணியாரம் - a South Indian traditional sweet ).

There was a chocolate festival at the community center where we picked up some rather interesting chocolate bars
