Basket hilts, something I cannot get enough of :)

Another thing I did. An unboxing of a sword.

I keep forgetting to post our videos here, or anything at all really. So here goes. Some impressions from our last open hall.
Basically just some people fencing various things :)

Something more DIY. I recently got a hold of some Armour Class HEMA basket hilt swords, which had no liners. Since historical basket hilts often had one, I went looking for a pattern to make liners myself, but could not really find anything, much to my surprise.
So I decided to make one. Link to the (very simple) pattern in the description of the video.

Not gonna lie, I had to look up "Occiput", and I still feel like I probably got it wrong:

A picture from last Saturday, that I rather liked.
It was taken by a clubmate, during a little bout between Jacqueline and me.

Time for another video. This time I am musing a bit about the differences of sharps and swords made for fencing, using two swords made by my friend Ádám Bodorics as an example.

My partner gifted me a shirt. I love it:
After the whole #recall shebang, I decided to finally leave #Windows for good. So I'm currently checking out #LinuxMint - and I am very much in love.
Biggest fear: Whether #Gaming was possible for a noob. Until I installed the #steam client and found out that all my current obsessions run on #Linux - including #BaldursGate3. ❤️
As utter noob willing to learn, I suspect the #fediverse is one of the best places to be.
Boosts, tips, and peeps to follow are very much appreciated.

Linux mint is pretty promising as a low effort daily driver right now. Getting it to run from an external ssd was a bit of a slog, because for some reason it just was not as straight forward as the tutorials made it out to be (Had problems with the bootloader for some reason).
But it seems to work now, and it can do pretty much everything I do in my day-to-day and the steam library is surprisingly compatible. Not everything is there natively, sure, but way more than I would have thought.
Bleppy weekend, y'all.

Why can't I hold all these gloves‽
It is important to address manoeuvrability when reviewing fencing clothing.

Me fencing: "Oh hey nice thrust, you got me good there" "Ha! Nearly got you" "Oh so close" "So what I think happened here is..."
Me cutting fencing material: "Jesus Christ does that guy (me) ever just shut up and actually FENCE?!?"
Was passiert, wenn man eine KI mit dem Gesamtwerk Rudolf Steiners (Waldorfschule, Weleda, Demeter) füttert?

First time I ever did a review of a shar, a custom Messer based on a print by Albrecht Dürer.
