Gee, I don’t think I’ve gotten any snail mail this week or really since the cold snap started. We got trash pick up a day late this week but no snail mail of any kind.
Can report teeny weeny snow dozers are swarming over icy south philly digging out alley size side streets. The snow is getting piled at the end of the block. Reports are it still sucks to walk anywhere. Buses have reappeared.

Rounding out my PA Farm Show stuff is the Mullet Contest. Link has great pics. The back end of the ’76 Corvette shown on stage is the first prize trophy. Found out that Philly’s Heavy Metal Hair Salon started and helps judge the competition. Ever go to a Grateful Dead show? I went to one that was also the last show ever at crumbling leaking RFK Stadium. The parking lot was awash with kind brownies and big punching balloons full of NO2. I never saw so many peeps doing their own thing at once to music that at the time challenged my punk rock vibe. I was struck at how guitar based they were, how loyal their fan was, and that folks could dance so differently to the same thing on a sunny afternoon. Always glad I went. #RIP #BobWeir

Been so long it was like I had a Ricci hoagie for the first time. Perhaps the best hoagies I ever ate. I had half a roast beef with pickles, oil, and mayo and half a chicken cutlet w sweet peppers and mayo. They slice your meat and cheese in front of you. The heavily seeded but soft bread from Liscio’s is amazing. Alas, it’s gotten popular w out of towners who park extra crazy and only get the Olde Italian so pack patience or park up the block and walk.
