Vale Neil Sedaka. We may never have had pop sensation Captain and Tennille if he hadn’t written this beauty.
Fun fact 1: in the official C&T version the back up singers sneak ‘Sedaka is back’ into their da da da da’s at the end.
Fun fact 2: the cat in my picture is named Tenille and my old dog was Captain. I made a facebook page dedicated to them, and despite it only containing bad grainy pics of my old dog and cat, and my spelling Tenille incorrectly, it has been taken over by hundreds of RL Captain and Tennille fans from across the world. I think I keep my FB account going just to keep that quirky little group together.
