We're not even using it properly yet - the new features allow you to use it to manage your pyproject.toml files. We definitely plan to do that eventually though.

@rohden ah ok that sounds sensible. Feel free to create an issue for it but it will probably be low priority as improving the ranking is most important right now

@adelinej thank you. That's interesting to hear that many are self-diagnosed. I must admit I thought the #ActuallyAutistic hashtag was basically a euphemism for officially diagnosed. Knowing that it isn't makes it feel more approachable to me.

@ReimanSaara I love the autistic community on Mastodon using the #ActuallyAutistic hashtag. I got my diagnosis earlier this year and that was it: no help or explanation about what to do next. My autistic whanau (if I'm allowed to use this Māori word), has been so helpful, kind and inclusive!

I haven't written anything up on the index so the source code is probably the best place right now. It's pretty straightforward what we're doing tbh.

Daoud Clarke introduced us to the Mwmble search engine.

One very nice feature is the approach to use a browser extension to let people help populate the crawl. (M$ and G$$G do this also, by sneaking into their own browsers.)

So: donations can classicly help fund infra, but they can also be made by contributing high quality data!
