Sure, and it probably looks somewhat cool because of all the time spent on self-portraits before. I'm kind of "bi-polar" about it - I like my own face (to be honest) and taking photos of myself is really exciting and almost therapeutic, but it's sooo physically uncomfortable at the same time, it's almost like a workout :D
Thanks! I feel like I've shot too many self-portraits in last 20 years though...thousands probably (and I also had a makeup related account on IG), so I don't find them that interesting to work on comparing to models.
In fact I didn't, it's what I used GIMP for. The only option to apply it in Darktable would be to create the blur in separate file and use it as an overlay image.
