@lanefu @popey I love the concept of radio in general and it really more or less describes the patterns found even on the early internet. What do I do now?

This same pattern happened once it got my amateur radio license as well. I never use it because it's just not the network where I communicate.

I'd like to use these concepts for more than just "can you hear me now?" but so far I haven't found a reason.

Use `docker stats` to see real-time CPU, memory, and network usage of every running container. It's the quickest way to find which service is hogging resources.

Pair it with ctop for a nicer terminal UI.

@mintyfries @pheonix I don't understand the joy people get from sharing AI responses. My favorite is the screenshots of it instead of copy/paste because even that is too much work.

@dannyhayes my only real complaint is that task switching on graphene can sometimes be ok or horrendous to the point of table-flipping. If I could avoid that I'd be thrilled.

@decibyte I worry that everyone will just be fine with it and accepting of it because their Discord account is old enough or whatever.

Anyhow, I found Revolt which is now Stoat and Spacebar. Haven't actually tried either but I wonder how either work. Seems like I am wishful for a properly federated solution but that's yet a thing as I've seen.

@zrail oh sweet, where did you lease a /48? That sounds awesome.

@heidilifeldman the bag helps keep the lanyards from tangling and becoming a mess of spaghetti. I was reminded of this at my last whistle party as my group was handed a bag of whistles on lanyards to package into bags.

Also, lots and lots of 3d printers are constantly going, people love to help so asking is worthwhile.

@fastmail also, re-writing your entire stack just because a fancy new shiny thing over there is made is a terrible engineering choice. Why throw away all the work it took to sort out the product just to reintroduce the one line bugs you battled with.

you *must* read the Battle of the Dildo at the Minneapolis Graduate Hotel (where ICE is lodging):

"The revolution did not arrive with speeches, pamphlets, or a carefully moderated Zoom call about optics. It arrived in a cardboard box full of clearance-bin dildos, under purple neon light." 🤣

one of the most beautiful things I've ever read

@reconbot I've had similar thoughts with my Inovelli switches. I've liked the customizability but it's obnoxious when you end up having too much.

For instance...their on/off switches are meant for high loads but show up as a dimmable light despite its primary purpose to perform on/off only. If you dimm it to 1% and above it's on, neat. If its on and at 0%, it's off.

You end up needing to use a pile of tricks to make it work and appear as a basic switch.

@angelastella @agowa338 @tracketpacer the most time consuming task of programming has always been the people after all, this will never change.

@padook I have multiple speaker builds from Future Proof Homes, they make a kit which is effectively just the PCB, ESP32 and power. They have a more complete kit now, its spendy but I've been quite happy especially over the lackluster sounding Voice PE offering.

@waldoj @mathowie I was so mad when Gandi went all crazy with their renewal pricing. I just wanted a registrar I didn't need to treat like a thief. I'm on Porkbun now, here's to hoping for a long term solution.

I 3D printed side bars for 10 deep frames and only had to cut straight top and bottom bars and put a sawblade width dado in them. They seem sturdy enough. It took less than a full 1kg spool of $12 PLA Plus filament, 88 grams with support per frame (2 ends). Pre-drilled and 4 screws per frame.

I split them with a dovetail and added a hole to pin the joint.

Design from here: thingiverse.com/thing:5896092

10 deep Langstroth beehive frames assembled and stacked up, looking at the end side bars that have been 3D printed. There is a single screw in the top and bottom of each side bar that is offset from center because the center has a 1/8 inch wide and 1/4 inch deep dado cut into it for the plastic foundation.A closeup view of the top bar attached to the printed frame. Thee is an open top socket that accepts the cut wood with dado.A closeup of the bottom bar which goes into a closed socket on the bottom of the side bar. I made the bottom bar a little thicker for extra strength plus it was the dimension of splitting the piece of wood I had. This required a small rebate in the end.A screen shot of the sliced file showing each side bar split with a dovetail joint that I also added a through hole to pin it. This allowed them to be printed with only support on the open socketed end of the frame
