crazy climbs and #ovalChainrings
if you're shoulders touching the handlebars and pedaling like crazy to keep enough speed to balance, cant zig-zag because the rills, then my thought relevant to chainrings was, if I could pedal just that bit slower I'd have more attention-out for all the other stuff going on.
I've got a 3 front set, the smallest of which is the same teeth about as the bottom back. If I could up that to the _same_ teeth as the middle (with 52 top!) but yes you guessed, wild elliptical, it could be like a "winch" different pedaling mode but same cadence as middle. As it is, changing to the bottom on existing front is inevitably accompanied by some feeling of desperation 😆 .
Yes and walking is often a choice I feel good about - particularly if at the point the front wheel goes into flight, but _before_ it all crashes back to the ground sideways.
