I would have changed servers already, if it weren't for the "can't migrate posts" thing.
Might have to get over that.

You're pretty today, Houston.
This is such a good and evenhanded and true piece. I hope Masto peeps take it to heart.
Huh. Today I learned the Americans With Disabilities Act always considers #bipolar to be a disability, even if/when Social Security does not.
I prefer "neurospicy."
I've collected some #Mastodon 𦣠#instances to help with the #TwitterMigration focused in #inclusion, #accessibility and #minorities. They look like safe spaces for most of us. I'd appreciate the boost and new recommendations to add to the list:

Self-talk is more important to mental health than we realize. Those of us who grew up in abusive families tend to take on brutal self-talk in adulthood. And you don't even have to be a product of abuse for negative self-talk to impact your mental health and confidence level. What you think, you become. If you're trashing yourself mentally, your life will reflect that in some way. Pay attention to how you talk to yourself. Would you say such things to your loved ones? Be gentle with yourself.
A pair of nappers #catsofmastodon
Have we got an instance, or a fork, or bots or service out there somewhere that is aggregating weather alert and weather chasers, maybe?
I'm missing my weather tweeters, they were fun, informative accounts.
Same for Provincial/national/US national/state parks accounts.
The best burn I ever heard was my grandmother talking about a person she didnβt much like, saying βshe knits like she has friends to give all those scarves toβ π€π€£ #Knitting
This is my third sweater, and my tension is still all over the place. Getting frustrated, because I never have tension problems with crochet. #knitting
Does anybody know any #German games I can play to increase my vocabulary? Verbs, and not just nouns?
The best way I've found to avoid the flood of upsetting news content on Mastodon is to hide boosts from certain people I follow.
You can also hide all boosts from everyone, but I like see what people boost as long as its not the same horrible piece of news I've seen boosted multiple times already.
You go to their profile, click on the three dot menu at the top right, and choose "hide boosts"
This way you can still see boosts from people who boost things you want to see, and you don't have to completely unfollow people who have the habit of boosting unpleasant news or other upsetting topics.
@heartcookie That's a *great* view!
@scarfwitch There was much lol
