I mean, that’s some disingenuous rhetoric, I know why, it’s because “empathy,” isn’t the whole concept, empathy has an object, you have to specify what for. They mean for their in-group, that’s as far as it goes, so empathy MEANS war in their hands.

Plus, honestly, they don’t want empathy for pain they suffer, they want empathy for their shame about the pain they inflict. We’re suppsed to feel sorry for them for “having to,” spank the kids, and for “having to,” hold the conformist line and marginalize people.

It is the researchers and the ABA torturers who complain Autistics lack empathy because we don’t have it for them “doing the hard thing,” to us.

I need to figure out a mask, how to speak to regular or unknown types of people.

I know we’re supposed to be becoming ourselves, but like everything else, I’m backwards to that, I’ve been myself forever and I only dreamed it was ever working out. Maybe it would have been different if I’d had the word and the identity, Autism, but I didn’t and it didn’t.

There’s no sense talking to anyone, even my fellow Autists, I think, some of them anyway, from my sixty-plus years of focused divergence. I need to find my way back to normal language, stop trying to express what people cannot hear and relearn how to talk like . . . like what?

Like I don’t know anything! Human Nature, whaddayagonnado?
Like I advised someone else recently, that, and grumble about some vague, “them,” all the time?

Broken record here - it’s the framing, there’s no real definition for Autism because it’s really just non-Allism, they don’t have “imposter syndrome,” because the definition is about them. I can’t imagine how we solve for imposter syndrome without changing our framing and seeing it the other way around.

I see everything the other way around, it’s not something that happens because of us, not something we’re doing.

I can’t seem to accept the idea that it’s me because I can type and speak and that’s what language is FOR, to make things understandable to others. I think the misunderstanding is active and intentional, or somehow language just doesn’t work for most people. Which again, how do you have language and it doesn’t work?

But for me, it’s a specific sort of victimization - bloody ghosting, a sort of a soft shunning.
.
So if you etymology boffins want to apply your Greek or Latin to that idea . . . 😇

Seems I got halfway through this book, and I’m remembering how something from it shocked me, there’s this bit I should probably cite, I don’t remember whose paper, I will if someone insists, this bit calling parent on child violence, “aggression,” and still messes me up.
.
It was a very scientific paper, I guess now it’s Allistic science. Bugs me that the scene (parent on child violence) to me shows where the aggression comes from, but the paper simply talks about it as a trait of the parent/species. As close as I’ve come to working through it for my own mind, is to ask, perhaps rhetorically why, how is that “aggression?” Has the kid got something, are they going to eat the kid? Doesn’t “aggression,” have a goal, a point? The territory, breeding rights, food?

not a hundred percent certain of this, but it just rings wro . . allistic somehow, not for my mind.

If you follow, you know Antisocialization theory, but here’s a part I never spelled out to myself:
.
the Allistic kids have the response to early abuse, they survive and get “strong,” it’s an epigenetic response to a violent environment - so yes, they are the ones evolving, epigenetics are part of permanent evolution.
.
the Autistic kids fail to respond, so they try ramping it up with the total control of ABA, and still it never happens and so we are “useless,” but again the point is we don’t have the gene, we don’t go through that epigenesis, and it is not us evolving that causes an increase in diagnosis - in labeling - that’s a social function, echoing the Allistics’ evolution.
