Watched the #MalteseFalcon for the first time, and despite it being a classic #filmnoir, and despite a cliché of #film noir being that the private detective is a heavy drinker, there was almost a complete absence of #alcohol throughout the film. Contrast that with literally any #show or #movie today where every single meeting involves having #drinks, and it was pretty surprising.

These things aren't normally square, so maybe we can blame the awkward composition on that. What's the guy next to "ANY" doing? Dancing? Maybe I just think that because he looks like Elvis. And the woman hiking up her skirt to fix her lingerie-scaffolding, well that was practically the equivalent of full-frontal nudity back then.

Yes, I do plan on splurging and seeing The Bride! in full IMAX at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale next week.

I might even pay the ridiculous extra fee for "priority" early entrance to get a seat as close to my preferred spot as possible.

It's not sold out yet, so it may not be necessary.

Dune Two convinced me that seat location makes a noticeable improvement in sound (middle, ~5 rows down).

Gostei muito do filme Uma batalha atrás da Outra. Além da proximidade da ficção com a atual realidade estadunidense (quase indistinguíveis) e das personagens e interpretações sensacionais (Benício del Toro e Chase Infiniti, pra citar apenas dois) eu fiquei especialmente tocado porque é, entre outras coisas, um filme sobre o amor entre Pai e filha!
