The most offensive part of the app is the tiny “skip trial” button you have to find to get into the app on an iPad. This seems to come up every time I open the app (which is only about once a week because I hate it)

This acquisition of by feels like a personal attack on me. I had planned to cancel my Strava subscription and subscribe to FATMAP instead. Though the cost is increasing I guess I’ll keep it going since they will open up FATMAP to subscribers. TechCrunch on the acquisition: techcrunch.com/2023/01/24/stra

I've newly updated my City of Toronto Skyline set on the site.

Edits: Better Rogers Centre build.
Taller CN Tower (and the Skypod viewing deck can rotate!)
Better positioning of buildings in the Financial District

See the new pictures and please give the model your support!

I absolutely cannot wait to see the twisted justifications Musk and Twitter spit out for suspending SOME but not all 3rd party clients. John’s right, this whole affair is utterly disgraceful from top to bottom. I’m looking forward to putting it all behind us once and for all at this point. daringfireball.net/linked/2023

When I started watching I was annoyed that it wasn’t just about the western town and instead a sci-fi robot thing. Seems like #1883 on is what I was looking for!

@ssoper I think it will divide companies down two paths - try to offer unique differentiated services OR just pump out commodity hardware.

@ssoper I anticipate it’s going to be a long road to escape the proprietary functionality but we are getting closer. A recent win for my (which is probably more thanks to than in this case) is being able to automate with room sensors as the trigger.
