tfw when you send an official document overseas and you realize you dated it using U.S. date formatting 🫠
@thegpfury Sure, I’ll DM. :)
@thegpfury They’re pretty great. I sometimes kvetch about how much their services cost, but then I look at what I’ve earned and all the questions I ask and I settle down. 😅
Unrelated, I’m finally getting around to moving my email off of Gmail and am discovering the joy of unsubscribing to things. It’s fascinating how much attention debt I spent on this stuff. I somehow was getting the same marketing emails across 3 different accounts.
So, our financial advisor has shifted markets to focus on high earning women who are primary income earners. Their new biannual check in questionnaire asks about not just financial health but mental, physical, and emotional health. I’m discovering I feel confident with the finances and terrible at everything else. 🫠
@j0hnnyxm4s I think we all knew it would eventually come to this. Sadly.
@corq glad to hear that :)
@corq many hugops, hope all is well
I set up a focus mode on my iPhone for this vacation. I haven’t seen any notifications all day. It’s amazing. I just turned it off and… oh no.

@corq you can also just install chrome and add it to Steam so you can launch it from gaming mode
@corq I had a 3rd party dock but eventually bought the Valve one. We use Xbox controllers for 4 player games on the TV. I 3d printed an adapter for the dock so I can keep my Dbrand Killswitch case on while docked.
I’ve used desktop mode for uh. Well, I ran a Fedora container to run mfkey32 on some hotel keys because my managed machine wouldn’t do it. I did it with the controller — I don’t advise that. Also used flatpack to install Minecraft Bedrock Launcher and stuff like that.
Saw on the Supernote Beta reddit that we’re getting a plgin SDK based on React and Hermes. I know there’s a very small number of nerds here that use e-ink tablets, but this is a big deal. I’ve seen a couple of the beta plugins people built. One was a fitness tracker, another was a Sudoku generator — and this is all with a beta SDK that isn’t even public yet. To me that’s exciting; it means the Supernote is about to get even more features, and they won’t require giving up the experience of just using electronic paper. No App Store, no Google, just… extensibility.
This is hot off the presses after they released their private cloud docker image, too.
@hacks4pancakes It’s hard for me not to spiral. There’s so much evil in there.
