After 8 years of development and 1,400+ commits of new features and fixes, this milestone release brings LDAP authentication, @User mentions, a completely rebuilt Gantt chart, S3 storage support, drag-and-drop tasks between projects, and dozens more improvements.

272 commits have been made, many bug fixes and a few new features sneaked in as well. I think this time, this was a release without any known bugs at release.

@MarcVolquardsen @winterrific Die SPA funktioniert ganz gut (in Safari über "Teilen" und dann "zum Homebildschirm hinzufügen"), das fühlt sich dann so ähnlich an wie eine App. Ansonsten gibt es auch Apps von Drittanbietern für iOS, die angeblich ganz gut funktionieren. Wir arbeiten aber auch daran, unsere App in den App Store zu kriegen, das dauert aber noch etwas.
Gleichzeitig kommt auch "irgendwann" die Integration in Apple To-Dos, dann könnte man da auch die Listen verwalten.

Vikunja Cloud was just down for about one hour due to a maintenance upgrade gone wrong. We had to restore from backup and as a result, you may have lost any changes made since 18:00 UTC today.

First, I'm really sorry about this.

Second, this should not have happened. The whole incident showed the holes in the backup and restore process, and we took notes and will improve this.

@vikunja I created an #Emacs Lisp package to display Vikunja projects and tasks in split panes for a TUI like experience, and automation, and to process stuff from the API without having to login over and over all the time.

It's currently just a reader, not an editor, so many actions take you to the web UI.

Still wonder whether and how to best share this for your community

@schneidegger @tante gibt tatsächlich eine App, aber die kann noch nicht so viel. Das Web Frontend lässt sich aber prima als pwa nutzen.
