And as a postscript to my database thread, i'm *still* enhancing the list of things to exclude from recorder, and my DB size grew another 400 Mb in six days.

Now getting down and dirty with DBStats and SQLite, to really get rid of the ephemeral and old data from my DB to get this under control.

@emce @ChrisWarwick @vague I've put together what I think is a comprehensive feature request discussion on HA's Github, addressing the opportunities and justifications to improve statistics and statistics storage.

If you can spare some time to read it, and potentially chime in, it would be greatly appreciated: github.com/orgs/home-assistant

@freequaybuoy And these are the *exact* kinds of questions they should be asked by the fourth estate, so people can be shown plainly the hypocrisy and bullshit they push.

@3TomatoesShort They weren’t bad, just needed to modify their air fryer cooking instructions as they weren’t right when cooked from defrosted or frozen to get the right crispy texture.

@Belle You may also find this very recent video (released 4d ago) super helpful in your search for and comparison of your bulb options: youtu.be/tjYq_BJTSmg

@Belle Ikea’s Trådfri adjustable colour bulbs (ikea.com/au/en/cat/smart-led-l) are honestly your go-to for Zigbee lighting options, either their old Zigbee lights, or their new Matter lights (KAJPLATS) coming to market very soon.

Their price point, quality, and supported features leaves Hue for dead.

If you want their Trådfri Zigbee lights, buy them ASAP - because they will not be restocked once the Matter lights enter your local market.

@PossiblyMax I use Powercalc (docs.powercalc.nl), a HACS repo, for this purpose.

The bonus, for devices in system which don’t have energy/power sensors, it can help you create and calculate.

Once you have a Total Kitchen Energy sensor setup, you can then have a Total Kitchen Lights (reading from the bulbs in question), and setting Total Kitchen Energy as the upstream when adding to Energy dashboard.

@luupilotti.bsky.social Availability is the issue, globally. Australian stores are seeing avg. 4-6 week lead times for restock; and when back into stock - they sell out rapidly.

Case in point from today - the TIMMERFLOTTE Temperature/humidity sensor. 26 came back into stock this morning at their Perth WA store (after 6wk wait) - and half that delivery (13) is already sold by now days end (and I bought 2 of them, as missed the last two shipments).

@mart_e Someone seems to have looked at it - would need a reverse engineering of their app: community.home-assistant.io/t/

And that thread exposes a HACS repo, that they were working on this as recently as 7d ago, to achieve just what you need: github.com/Pieter-Geerts/renso
