Bachelor Scurvy is the common name for the following:
- older man who does not know how to cook, grocery shop, store food, plan meals, understand nutrition, etc
- recently lost a wife who did some or all of these things for him
- presents with progressive weakness, fatigue, easy bruising
- is diagnosed with garden variety scurvy in a modern wealthy society

Oh jeez. Just saw an electronic billboard on the back of a semi. Please don’t let that catch on. Or let’s get ahead of it and outlaw them. Drivers are already dangerously distracted all the time. We don’t need bright flashing screens on every semi truck.

While the Biden administration decided that states should prioritize #fiber in order to build more #FutureProof networks, the Trump administration ordered states to revise their plans with a 'tech-neutral approach' and lower the average cost of serving each location."

@c_merriweather @ai6yr Friends of mine bought an old Victorian in Alameda, CA. 20+ years ago. Unfinished dirt floor basement basement and still had this (or similar) in the basement as the house was constructed with it around it! They donated it to the Alameda City museum when they built out the basement several years ago.

Don't buy smart home devices that require a cloud connection because the manufacturer *will* eventually brick them.
