Okay, I am looking for freelance writing work. I'm not going to get the car repaired by curling up and crying. What's more, if possible, I want something that's steady and could lead to something substantive.

In my experience, dogs are almost the opposite. (Well, except for the kitchen part, if you drop anything on the floor, which is 100% legal, certified Dog Domain. Anything that touches the floor belongs to Dog.)
