Taylor Rehmet has won the special election for Texas Senate District 9, defeating Republican Leigh Wambsganss 57%–43%.
​This flips a Tarrant County seat that Republicans have held for decades and that Trump carried by 17 points in 2024. Rehmet is an Air Force veteran and union machinist; Wambsganss is an executive at Patriot Mobile.

Once the murderers are indicted, if, or should I say when, Kristi Noem publicly refuses to respect the arrest warrants she should be charged with protecting a fugitive.

Obstructing the law is a punishable offence, I heard.

Murder is a state crime. Local prosecutors must indict the murderers of Renee Good and Jeffrey Pretti, even though federal authorities are trying to block and obstruct them.

Don't forget: the reason ICE is in Minnesota is because Trump wanted to score some points with his xenophobic base by going after Somalis who committed financial fraud. And the GOP was fine with that.

It would be useful for reporters writing about Trump's preposterous "Board of Peace" to mention one country that is definitely not a member: the United States.

Trump doesn't have the power to join it. Any international treaty requires the vote of two-thirds of the Senate.

I also rather like his line about a "fawning sycophant sidekick so emasculated in his quest for power that he lets racists degrade his wife and asks for more".
