Tape from Clover! Clover was a chain of 26 discount stores operated by Strawbridge & Clothier in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. A precursor to Kohls or Target, it was active from 1971 to 1996. They had some great soft pretzels and a killer brand. This cassette clearly got a lot of use, and I love that it lived through the heyday of recording TV at home.

Yeah that tracks, cracks me up how these signs always feel like they’re from a different era. like they get installed once and then just live there for 10-20 years. Can’t imagine Pepsi doing quarterly checkins on a deli door 😂 Feels like crazy longtail “free” advertising. kinda like when shops slap a Facebook logo in the window and never think about it again. must be working though!

Lincoln drive deli made a decent breakfast sandwich. Closed down for now though. I wonder what the deal was with the old pepsi signs, did they have a partnership with the shop and cover the cost of the sign?
