An #EggstraWork shift is taking place on Bonerattle Arena next weekend! This will be the LAST Eggstra Work shift to use a new ruleset, any other shift in the future will use existing rulesets.

For this shift, you'll have access to the Splattershot Jr, REEF-LUX 450, Splatana Stamper and Wellstring V. The shift will start on February 14th at 12am GMT and end on the 16th at 12am. News / Updates: Patch notes for version 11.0.0 have been released

Patch notes for the Splatoon 3 update coming later this week has been released in Japan. From what I can gather, this mainly seems to be just balance changes with one major feature being known as the "Squid Flow state". This occurs when you defeat an opponent in battle in a short period of time? I don't exactly understand it, but it should give you increased movement and inking capabilities temporarily. It looks like a health bar has also been added too to players who have taken damage.

News / Updates: Version 11.0.0 of Splatoon 3 releases on January 29th

Nintendo has announced today that a new update will be coming to Splatoon 3 soon! We still have another 18 days for it to release, as it comes out on January 29th but Nintendo has teased that there will be balance updates and new battle features in this update. No new weapon kits will be included in this update.

News / Updates: Version 3.0.0 of Animal Crossing New Horizons is coming January 15th

I am utterly confused by this move, but here we go. Nintendo has officially announced a major content update to Animal Crossing New Horizons 5 years after launch.

As usual, yes Nintendo is making a Switch 2 Edition for this, I'm assuming it's going to cost £10 extra since it's basically better graphics, usage of the Switch 2 camera and usage of the microphone. I'm really hoping Switch 2 will be able to run this game well though, I've had my Switch 1 stutter quite a few times on my island.

Nintendo has announced that they are running a competitive league for Splatoon players in North America from September 20th to November 22nd.

This league will host events on 3 days each week, with Friday being "Show Day" (catch up on the latest news), Saturday being "League Play" (compete against top teams in NA) and Sunday being "Casual Play" (looks to be Salmon Run).

July 11th 2025 officially marks 10 years since the former Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, sadly passed away from cancer.

The Splatoon series arguably wouldn't be here today without Iwata and he has been an incredibly influential figure in the gaming space.

Rest in peace.
