Panel 3: a sparkling fluffy cabbit (cat/rabbit) man, Break, looms suddenly, smiling in a less than innocent way. He remarks, "Oho? Are you leaving practice early? It's only 12 AM, and you haven't got the details down."

Panel 4: The frame pulls back to show Jaye pressing himself in slight intimidation against the practice room dance mirror wall, while Break cheerfully continues to lecture him: "Aren't you supposed to be younger than me? Where's your stamina?"

Panel 5: Jaye grimly wipes the sweat off his mouth with a heavy paw as Break continues: "Didn't you say 'I'll replace your partner completely?"

@evifneves ahaha much respect for Hayato preferences. He really does come in a lot of fun flavors huh. I will take Hayato in all of his shapes, though I'm personally fond of Shin Hayato for that one scene where he claws and punches someone to death 💞 psycho diva.

Whew well I've always been fond of age gap ships and here that aspect is mixed in with caretaker trait too. The whole thing with Hayato taking in Kamui in "good will" since the baby was a political target, while also sorta being a power move with the whole human taking in a Dinosaur Empire prince is interesting to me! Gives me a lot of food for thought about what their dynamic might have been as Kamui grew up and became conscious of his situation. Raised by the same dude your people probably use to scare their kids or something, your father's mortal enemy... Hmmm.

I'm also a stiff one-way shipper but this is a rare instance where I like both Kamui/Hayato and Hayato/Kamui. A very rare ship for me lol.

How 'bout you? Who's your blorbito from Getter? :3 Do you like any ships? I'm probably odd cuz I never resonated strongly with Getter ships until this pair, but I'd probably go crazy for Musashi or Armageddon Saotome centric stuff if I reread/rewatched.

@evifneves I'm really fond of Kamui 🥺 I love the way his connections are all strained bc of his origin, and his bond with Hayato really tickles my brain. Actually that's probably the Getter pair I feel the strongest for as a ship 🤔

Tolkien is very careful about the use of thee, thou, thine as words of intimacy between high born characters and is very careful about when they are used.

That these are words of intimacy never occurred to me over 50 years of rereads of these books.

785 (III: 58). Neither have those others who go with thee. They go only because they would not be parted from thee - because they love thee.

-Éowyn began this conversation with Aragorn using formal you, your (see note for p. 775), but here pointedly changes to the intimate thee, expressing
