@fahrni Hah! I used Apple Music for a bit when I needed to get away from Spotify. Had Youtube Music for a bit as well.

YT Music was the closest to a decent UI that I've seen thus far. Unfortunately, Google is quite evil.

Renting music sucks. I want Winamp + a hundred thousand song local catalog again.

Spotify has been around since 2006 and the UI/UX remains to this day one of the worst in the music rental industry.

Not only is it dated and buggy, but the experience just does not allow you to listen to music in a way that makes sense.

What gives? Can they just not afford any good UI/UX people?

And 'free speech' has moved on from being an idea to discuss to just a catch phrase - no more than a verbal cudgel. The original ideas revolve around allowing people to express political ideas without threat of state persecution and it's turned into the idea that no speech has consequences, everyone owes you a platform and now supposedly, AI should be completely unregulated.

I see stuff like this and am reminded of how effective Big Tech has been at stealth surveillance all along.

I am curious if anyone is still applying for jobs at Google, Amazon, Meta, or Salesforce.

Based on what i’ve seen thus far, there is zero reason why anyone would want to work at any of these places.

I’m not sure how they will ever hire any decent talent again after this, much less retain the talent they have.

Congress doesn’t need to go after Big Tech; Big Tech is sabotaging itself.
