You may ask why am I moving? I have nothing against my current instance and it has been great for the most part. However I am tired of seeing ai content. I am sure I have annoyed the moderators of this instance with all of the times I have reported people, even if it technically did not break their rules.

Besides my obvious alignment with people who support climate justice (I consider myself an Eco-Marxist), at the very least, ai generated content should be marked NSFW. It is offensive to not only me and other people, but also the environment. It is a moral wrong. The new instance explicitly states on its "About" page:

"We do not promote harmful technologies like nuclear power, AI or crypto currencies. We don't post anything generated by AI except to enhance accessibility."

The anxious feeling will go away. As you delete more and more accounts with big tech it becomes a rush. I've started taking/posting screenshots when I do and collecting them like trophies or Xbox achievements. Screw big tech.

What is the point of a 520 Hz monitor? The human eye can typically only see 30-60 FPS with some people supposedly seeing up to 75 FPS. So, maybe 120 Hz max would make sense. 240 Hz? 520 Hz? That is just silly.

I am of the same mindset. I would rather not use an app at all than to be forced to allow my phone to communicate with Google in any way, which includes microG. Luckily, most services that use an app, including my bank, have a website, and I just open my browser to view that information.

I had an overpriced Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard and I replaced it with a Keychron Q1 V2 because it uses open-source firmware called QMK. I also customized the switches, keycaps, and sound dampening. I am so happy with it now and I still paid less than I did with the Razer one. I can't replace the mouse right now because I'm moving and have other expenses at the moment, but I have been looking into a QMK mouse as well.

Hell even when you do. I used braces for my joints when I was still working going to school and people would basically tell me I was looking for attention with them. I'd show them how double jointed I am in places and how easy it is to sublax them but it didn't matter - it didn't fit their ideas of how life should be so I was a liar.

I have Long Mono so feel so much solidarity with folks with Long COVID. I appreciate their advocacy bringing attention to long diseases.

I'm noticing an uptick of people who are starting to pay more attention to COVID/Long COVID - which is awesome!

It's on the longer side but I really recommend it. Understanding all the factors that go into Long COVID takes some time because it's so complex compared the messaging a lot of us got.

I see a lot of similarities of Long COVID with autoimmune disease (which I have). It is hard to get people to take the disease seriously when you don't show physical symptoms. Very frustrating.

One of the things I dislike about Anubis is I must disable JShelter (extension) in order to proceed past the Anubis, even if it not required to be disabled by the site it is protecting. What that means is I am making my browser less safe in order to enter the website just to prove I am a real person. There have been times I have just said "screw it" and closed the tab instead of making it work.

I am really confused. You don't want to use @librewolf because they're considered "woke?" I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, I am trying to understand because you and I have interacted quite a bit here on Mastodon and I consider myself very "woke." I am also an open member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I would say most of the Mastodon community could be considered "woke" by MAGA's standards.

Now, what does "woke" even mean? I would consider it to be anti-racist and pro-social justice. I see nothing wrong with being inclusive, especially of those from marginalized communities.

I'll be honest with you, I consider Lunduke to be a real piece of shit and his "hot takes" are just MAGA talking points regurgitated for the tech world.

As for what he is arguing in this video, freedom of speech does not mean freedom of all speech and it also does not apply to private companies and organizations. They can dictate whatever they want.

Razer's quality control is shit. My Razer Viper Ultimate mouse just decided that it doesn't want to work when connected to the cable even though the lights still are lit. It will only work now in wireless mode. The sliders also just fell off. It is only about a year old. Also, my wife had the cute Kraken kitty ears headset (which sucked but were cute) in which one of the ears stop producing sound.

Please stop buying their products. Invest in quality products that are made to last.
