@reece Also I'm not sure that comparing Bluesky to the nazi bar is fair. Sure the platforms have similar UIs and reply guys, but one is lead by a very bad person changing its algorithm for culture war purposes and the other one is vaguely problematic 😂

@reece Urbanism content is much more interesting there for me! Also I really dislike reverse chronological algo as the only option available.

@reece Bluesky has a nice/healthy mix of ethical/safety and general AI usage discourse I find. You'll still find the general twitter vibe where people foam about AGI but it's much more balanced

Blâmer ceux qui signalent un problème pour le problème, c’est une vieille stratégie de communication politique. Cette semaine, Bernard Drainville nous en a donné un exemple. #FarnellMorisset #Québec #polqc

This Washington Post story has sparked a whole bunch of regulatory interest in xAI and X, unsurprisingly: washingtonpost.com/technology/

Unpaywalled: archive.ph/i9z7w

I imagine X may see some corporate credit card transactions for shredders soon.

The last 5 days have been a bit wild for the GCVE.eu initiative.

What started as steady work suddenly picked up real momentum:

  • The public GCVE.eu database instance - db.gcve.eu/ - caught the attention of the media, sparking discussions well beyond our usual circles

  • We published updates to the GCVE KEV Assertion Standard Format (BCP-07), refining how known-exploited information can be asserted and shared

  • Vulnerability-Lookup 2.21.0 was released, bringing improvements aligned with the GCVE ecosystem

  • We received a lot of valuable feedback especially on the specs, the tooling, and the overall direction

  • New GNAs joined the GCVE directory, and new contributors stepped in to help shape both the specifications and the software

Seeing this level of engagement, critique, and contribution in such a short time is incredibly motivating. It reinforces why an open, decentralized, and collaborative approach to vulnerability identification and sharing matters.

Huge thanks to everyone who tested, commented, challenged assumptions, wrote code, improved text, or simply helped spread the word. This is very much a community effort and it’s only getting started. 💙

@reece Specifically with coding, they have improved a lot in 2025, and the tooling around it as well. They still pose a lot of problem with non-programmers using them, but they do truely make experienced devs more productive from my experience. It kinda scares me that new programmers rely on them too much though

RE: mastodon.social/@Mastodon/1159

Love this for Mastodon!
But man seeing people shit on Mastodon for things like requiring open signups for these instances or using google forms really irks me. It really feels like a lot of people out here don't want the fediverse to actually grow or have no conception of user experience.

@emsquared I don't care about being skeptic of corporations, I think it's important we be critical of them often, but one of my observation is that anything not fully open-source or that wishes to make more money than "paying the servers and one dev" is seen badly. I guess it can be summed up as anti-growth? Idk
I think it should be welcomed when corporations embrace ActivityPub, as long as it doesn't hinder its independence.
