@robertprice That power light does look a bit bright. The standard red LEDs have a 1k resistor, but the green ones should have a 22k resistor on the board,
The official account for RC2014, a Z80 based retro computer kit. UK based with global shipping.
Posts probably include retro computing or hobby electronics related content but may include other cool stuff.

Wishing @shieladixon a happy birthday. Enjoy this lovely retro cake I comissioned for you 🎂
Hanging out with some retro computer nerds.
"ooh a Sinclair zee ex eighty"
"Is that the one designed by sir Clive Sinclair?"
"Yes"
"Then I think you mean zed ex eighty then"
"Ah yes, the zed ex eighty with a zee eighty cpu..."
The Computer History Museum has a presentation tonight on the history of computer dating: "Algorithms of Love". I made a special punch card for the event. It wasn't easy to make this card so I'll explain how I did it...
@MLE_online Despite living in the East Midlands for over 25 years, I can honestly say that I have never heard anybody say "howdy" unless they're parodying an American Western.
I haven't been to every village here though. But they all have pubs, so maybe now I have a mission.
I can't remember whether I've already shared this 2:3 scale VT100 build but it seems well done and has an arcade input variant for the keyboard that looks fun.
I keep thinking that I'll make time to release some of my miniature designs as digital downloads but then I don't so I'm always happy to see others get 'er done.

@PaulaMaddox There's some really cool Matra Alice vibes going on there!
Progress is being made on the case for my #LT6502 project.
I’m quite proud of it so far, the top needs a few tweaks.
Then I need to design the case for the screen.
Listening to a 50-year old cassette on a Walkman from 1998… and it sounds really good.
In 50 years from now, will any of current streaming services still be around?
A quiet design change to the #RaspberryPi 4 next, as the company tries to battle ongoing RAM component price rises caused by the #AI bubble: it can now take either one full-capacity or two half-capacity DRAM chips, just like Sinclair's classic ZX81!
@mike Lawyers in The Hague would like to remind you of the Smelt It Dealt It legal argument.
Get 15% off all my kits listed on my personal store.
I am off for a short holiday this week, so my store will be closed from Friday 6th until the following Monday the 9th.
In celebration of this - I added the discount coupon, HOLIDAY, to get 15% off store wide.
Last orders accepted up to midday Thursday (Australian Time). So if you interested in getting some of my new Stegosaur kits - now's a good time.
Happy #RETROCOMPUTING
This is my attempt at a XKCD style this year:
"TTL PART NUMBERS"
Oh no! This will lead to a massive #shortage of #Z80 #CPUs this year! We'll be hearing stories of mysterious break-ins where nothing more than a #Commodore #C128 was stolen from the basement game room. It's going to be terrible!
The last #Z80 platform ever made hasn't been made yet.
Any Z80 platform currently made could be in the running for that title. Or maybe a future Z80 platform.
I am probably one of the few people who know how to use a microwave transformer to do that wood arcing thing safely.
And yet I choose not to.
Interesting.
For the love of god, please stop doing that shit. The Dunning Kruger level is high. You might think you know what you're doing but I guarantee you do not. Stupidly high voltage does not obey the laws you're used to.
